Simplify your work.

The problem
High speeds hold a high risk potential on account of the high energy.
Grinding tools normally work at high speeds and thus have to be safe for the user.
The solution
Manufacturers of grinding tools attribute safety the same priority as all other product quality and performance criteria.
For this purpose they draw up binding rules and principles for relevant safety standards.

The safety instrument
In the year 2000 several manufacturers of abrasives founded the Organisation for the Safety of abrasives (oSa).
The members of the oSa pledge to manufacture and sell grinding tools on the basis of the applicable safety standards and to further develop the relevant standards.
They are based on the following safety standards (EN standards):
- EN 12413 for bonded abrasive tools
- EN 13236 for abrasive tools with diamond or boron nitride
- EN 13743 for coated abrasives
oSa means: guaranteed safety
All oSa-certified abrasive tools are governed by the strict oSa rules.
The user can rely on the fact that abrasive tools with the oSa symbol are tested, brand name abrasive tools. They have been integrated in the manufacturer's quality management system and give the user the guarantee that they have purchased an abrasive tool with the highest possible safety values.
RHODIUS is a founding member of the oSa.
